Tchaikovsky - one of the giants of world music

Often it is only by experiencing historical phenomena in person that it becomes possible to appreciate their full significance. I always understood that Tchaikovsky was one of classical music's giants, but until I saw his statue in the grounds of his house in Klin, I had no idea just what an enormous man he really was.
