This was the Russian President's Guard. There were also troops dressed up in Napoleonic-era costume, as well as Germans, Italians, Danes and many others. My impression of this group was that they were not so well-drilled as the old Kremlin guards that I remembered from Soviet times marching out to Lenin's tomb and back again.Sunday 16 September 2007
